It's Okay to be Shy is a story about a man and a girl who have an “opposite” personality of their gender. Hyo Jin is a freshman who has more female friends than male friends. He is a bit of a crybaby and is more feminine than masculine. Dam is a sophomore who has more male friends than female friends. She is the opposite of a stereotypical girl and is more masculine than feminine. It’s based on true stories including the author's own experiences.
