5th Grade Larks

Class 1 of the 5th grade is called "The Larks" because the students are as noisy as the chirping of a lark. When the tomboyish Fujino Miki transfers to this class of elementary school students with rich personalities, her classmates, who had been divided into two groups, the hard-working students who want to go on to higher education and those who do not, are in turmoil. This is a representative school drama of the Shouwa era, which portrays the real life of grade school students from a bright and positive point of view, with their friendship, love, bullying, disconnection from their parents, and so on.
