Stay Alive (lunapiq)

The human soul keeps light and darkness within itself, which throughout its existence fight and replace each other from time to time. When one of your lives ends, but the heart that has kept the light within itself feels that you haven't done enough for the world yet, the soul remains in the human world for a while longer.

This is how guardians are created, protecting living people from dark souls breaking through from the underworld. Those who cannot reborn until the light and darkness in their hearts are balanced. It was another one of our regular days as guardians, which did not foretell anything unusual, nothing fateful, as it turned out in the end.

My life, if you can call it that, is pretty simple: I can do whatever I want, look however I want, be whatever I want to be, the price is sometimes maintaining a balance between darkness and light around me, which doesn't seem like such a heavy burden, because it's something I seem to have failed to do in my past life.
