The main character, Eriko Shinji, is the only daughter of a sake brewer. After her mother dies, a woman comes to take her place as her guardian, and she finds out that the woman is her stepmother, who bullied her in a previous life!
Eriko leaves home and goes to Tokyo, where she is scouted by a high-class companion and strives for a high-spec marriage with a modern prince!
