The Shimanto River

Wataru Morozumi, an unparalleled fishing enthusiast assigned to the Kochi branch
of the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper, gets to know the source of the river fishermen at the Shimanto River, and encounters the phantom large fish Akame no Don, the master of the Shimanto River, who has appeared for the first time in several years. Wataru, captivated by this charm, applies to become Gen's apprentice as he continues to pursue Don, and decides to search for Don with Gen's grandson, Tami. One day, Don appears in front of the fishermen who are chasing him, and the story spreads in the blink of an eye, and one after another, fishermen looking for money gather at the Shimanto River. Taoka, who runs a fishing gear store, is concerned that red turtles will become an extinct species, and asks Wataru and the people to catch them and protect them at an aquarium. The three head to the Shimanto River to fish and protect Don, but... An excellent human drama depicting humanity and nature conservation!
