Sir Thomas Attaly is a renowned British scientist living in Bath, England. Unbeknown to anyone, Sir Attaly has been plagiarising all of the hard work and effort of the numerous researchers who work for him. Larkin is one of the scientific researchers under his control. Following a chance encounter with an eccentric market seller, Larkin discovers a mysterious book. This book's bizarre ramblings lead him down a path of mystery, magic, and murder.
