Set at Yaya High School, the story centers on a student named Ganlan, whose special power—“handsomification” (帅化)—sparks turmoil on campus. Because of this condition, he is assigned to the “Special A Class”, a class packed with delinquent students. Major characters include Chengzi, a severely nearsighted girl who is immune to “handsomification”; Ziteng, a wealthy student who obsessively pursues Ganlan; and Chenpi, the school doctor who is secretly a taoist mage.
