Matsu Shigura

Strange things are commonplace. Due to her folklorist father's circumstances, Chika finds herself renting a room in an old house in Tono, Iwate Prefecture. There, she meets Matsuri, her older sister who works as a storyteller at the guesthouse run by the family, telling ghost stories related to Tono, and Soshi, her younger brother who has a constitution that attracts strange phenomena.

Riku Kurata, a first-year university student who loves the popular historical game "Sengoku Ouji," is hoping to join Professor Konoike's seminar, who supervises the game's development! One day, Professor Hasui, the head of Professor Konoike's seminar, sees Riku's assignment, a "report on Azuchi Castle," and harshly criticizes the report for being so poorly done that he refuses to let Riku join the seminar!! He then drags Riku to the castle—!?

The young and eccentric writer Amazawa Yamabuki is the newest resident of a secluded mountain where only ghosts dwelt before he came. He is set on renewing the ritual of “repaying the mountain” which his ancestors abandoned and on exploring the area. For this, he requests the help of the greatest ruffian in the whole mountain, Kaname, who also happens to be the guardian spirit of the sacred sword that the Amazawa family had been enshrining and honoring for centuries…
