This youth sports drama focuses on the growth of the heroine Ayuko as she strives towards her goal of winning a gold medal at the Munich Olympics, while also incorporating the hard training and rigors of competition through swimming, as well as admiration for the opposite sex and the subtle psychological conflicts of adolescence.
