After capturing Dr. Xeno and escaping from Stanley, the Kingdom of Science members who avoided capture set off for South America, the origin of the petrification beam, while the rest stay behind to build the one-million-person Corn City.

Both Kingdoms of Science battle it out on land, at sea, and in the air.

Taiju delivers the necessary equipment for the drill to Chrome, accompanied by an unwilling Carlos, who is captured. With both groups having completed their creations, the science showdown begins.

With the crew on board tending to a severely injured Senku, Chrome's team and Tsukasa's team must join forces to devise a way to infiltrate the enemy's lair.

Dr. Xeno discovers the true leader of the Kingdom of Science, whose ethics regarding science contradict his own, and decides whether to proceed with the assassination.

Senku recalls how he and Dr. Xeno first became acquainted, thousands of years ago.

At the same time that Tsukasa's Special Forces unit searches for the enemy base, Luna Wright, a young woman working for Dr. Xeno, is sent as a spy to help facilitate an assassination attempt on Taiju.

A tense call between Dr. Xeno and "Dr." Taiju ends in failed negotiations. Backed into a corner by a technologically superior enemy, the Kingdom of Science launches its counterattack by starting construction on an aircraft carrier.

The masked assailant launches an aerial pursuit, but Senku manages to turn the tide with Kirisame's help. Instead of retreating after the ambush, Gen is sent to infiltrate the enemy base.

After arriving in America, the corn search party splits off and battles crocodiles to secure their dinner, unaware that a far greater threat lurks in the shadows, ready to strike.

Matsukaze reveals more about his lord and their backstory, prompting the others to revive some of their former enemies to help him train. Later, Chrome devises a method to navigate the Perseus even during stormy weather.

The Kingdom of Science has begun its voyage to America, but a debate arises between Senku and Ryusui about which route to take.
