Lent is part of the up-and-coming party known as the "Skypiercers," and thanks to his unique Gift, he can loan massive amounts of magic to others. No MP? No problem with Lent around! Except, now that his companions have become formidable heroes (thanks to his skill), his usefulness is questioned. Kicked out of the group, Lent is furious...until he discovers a hidden power to his Gift. Now, with his adorably devious fairy partner, he's going to claw back every last scrap of magic from his former party—with interest!
Using the magical power he acquired through forced collection, Rent unlocks new skills. To level up even further, he heads to Melba's Great Labyrinth with Empy. Having mastered dagger techniques and fire magic, Rent challenges monsters as a solo adventurer for the first time, discovering the joy of battle. Meanwhile, on the third floor, the swordsman Rinka is being mistreated by her companions.
Suddenly, the gift fairy Empy appears before Rent. She explains that her gift has evolved into the "Infinite Magic Vault," and that she has acquired the skill "Forced Collection," allowing her to forcibly reclaim the magic she lent. When Rent tries to ask Guy and the others for repayment, they turn the tables on him, so he activates "Forced Collection." Empy, who hides her true nature behind a smile, has unilaterally chosen a terrifying "magic power installment payment" method of repayment...
Rent received the S-rank gift [Magic Vault], which grants the ability to lend magical power. He formed a party called "Sword of the Sky" with his childhood friends Guy and Misa, and the healer El, and has been supporting them on their adventures. However, he remains weak and is gradually seen as a burden, and is mercilessly expelled from the party. As he falls into despair after losing everything, something strange happens to his gift...
