I read this a few years back came back just to recommend this to people. I remember the feeling when I was first read this, it was phenomenal! I specially like the mc because he is really Pragmatic, like normally if people are in danger and there are strong enemies, usually MCs fight the villain with all their might but this guy's first priority is always running and saving himself, its not that he is coward but this is the most realistic approach anyone should take. The story narration is also really good.

A really well done weak to strong story, the protagonist has the worst spirit roots but still manages to survive countless situations using his wit. Theres no annoying courting death back and forth, he retreats if he has to, loot if he has to or fight if he has to, because he has no ego. MC also doesnt just kill men and save women, if theres enough benefits he will join or kill either of them. The romance is paced just right imo, the romance starts after he becomes strong enough but even that gets cut short(lol). I...

Absolutely phenomenal the world building is amazing and the mc is cautious but brave in situations where he must confront his enemies. Don't expect a harem because he only likes one girl while the others are because of reasons. If you're looking for something similar then try the doulo dalou series or simulated path to immortality Due note: simulated path to immortality just got the manhwa so it has low chaps but the it's great I've read all novel ver of everything I just typed and they're all good
