Really good read
This is a really good manhwa, compared to all the nonsense manhwa/huas I've been reading recently this one got my heart racing, the mc is overpowered, the enemies are strong but not as strong, the allied factions aren't completely useless. There's scheming and hmmm, I almost got carried away, I won't say much more so go read it and then read the sequel. Manhwa ends at chapter 139 with 8 chapters of side story, the sequel continues from the perspective of the MC's grandson.

I tried
I tried listening to the people telling me that this was a masterpiece or a great story. Y'know it might as well be, because I couldn't make it past chapter 40. Everything just felt...off. From the inconsistent translations of technique names to the odd pacing which seemed to be blowing through events and plot points like a battering ram at one point and moving slower than a turtle ay others. Things were just confusing and questionably pointless to a greater degree than I can forgive. Maybe read something else.
