On the verge of death a passionate shunga painting samurai from edo period somehow travels through time just before his execution. Sojiro Aisaka thus finds himself in the modern era and meets the mangaka Miyagami, whose assistant he becomes; then, Aisaka meets a woman, with whom he falls madly in love at first sight.
