Mo Hyun-lim, a shaman who receives a request from the family of a remote island's village chief—a family plagued by spiritual illness for generations—heads to the unfamiliar island of Angi-do with the intention of lifting the family's curse and making a quick fortune.

There, Hyun-lim ends up meeting Sanho, a woman raised as a curse-bearer (a sacrificial vessel) for the family...

"Still, there's nothing that can be done about it. Doesn't everyone live like this?"
He had no intention whatsoever of getting involved in other people's affairs.

They say anyone is powerless before a god, but there's no need to prove that before a mere human.

"...Is that not so? Even if it isn't, it doesn't matter. That's just how things are done here."

"In the end, you're just the same, Mr. Shaman."
As expected, this woman is annoying.
