After humanity's successful conquest of the Gate, peace has returned once again. However, the powerful psychic abilities of the Espers have become a double-edged sword for humanity, causing them great distress.

A new opportunity arises for Esper "NO.00 Michael," who is facing imminent death.

Adam, a retired soldier who has always struggled with the relationship between Guides and Espers, decides to give Michael, the cause of his leg injury, a second chance.

Adam gives Michael a new name, "Eve," in the hope that he can live a normal life, blending in with humanity.

The two, who have always fought on the front lines, risking their lives, embark on a journey to live a peaceful life in the embrace of humanity, dreaming of an ordinary existence.
