Haruhisa Tajima is a novelist who has been unable to write anything new for some time due to writer's block.

One day, he meets a college student named Shino Miyama. She casually makes herself at home in Tajima's house and offers to take care of his daily needs.

Unable to figure out her true intentions, Tajima nevertheless accepts her offer, his curiosity as a novelist outweighing his reservations. Shino acts as though she knows exactly who he is, confidently declaring, "I want to be of use to you, Sensei."
