The Aomatsu Gakuen High School baseball team was bound by the pride of its past as a prestigious school, clinging to outdated traditions, and no one was willing to take on the role of coach. Every year, one of the third-year students served as the coach in name only, doing odd jobs, but this year the third-year students appointed the quiet second-year student, Hiroshi Kido, as coach. They pushed the menial tasks that no one wanted onto their junior.
