Kousei Akiyama, a "prodigy" with unmatched talent in everything from baseball to soccer to studying since childhood, was known for his exceptional abilities. As a 6th grader, Kousei aspired to make his name known worldwide by pursuing the path of Go. However, the Go class he attended was filled with five talented boys and girls who could crush his abilities. After experiencing failure and leading a mundane life, Kousei reunites with Go as a high schooler, where he reignites his talent and vows revenge on the five geniuses. He is determined to reclaim that invincible feeling from his childhood!
