I Am A Hero caught me off guard. Going in I thought it would be a regular post apocalypse/zombie story, but it quickly became much more. What I liked about this manga is that it isn't a story about a heroic survivor trying to save the world, it shows Hideo who is insecure, deeply flawed, and stuggles with mental illness trying to survive and hold onto himself when eveything is falling apart. I Am A Hero is one of the most unique horror manga I have read. It is emotional, thought provoking and shows how much more...
