Xu Fu, court alchemist of the Qin Empire, is sent by Qin Shi Huang across the sea to the land of Penglai to find the elixir of immortality. But what he finds on this eastern isle is a land of bountiful nature populated sparsely by peace-loving primitives, and he falls in love with this land. Will Xu Fu find the secret of immortality? And if he finds it, what is the cost?

A millennia-spanning epic by the creator of Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho and Salaryman Kintaro! Divided into two parts, the first titled "Koun Ryusui: Xu Fu" and the second titled "Koun Ryusui: Nobunaga."
