Always dressed head to toe in camouflage and unwavering in his convictions, Nomoto is the man known as Camouflage Boy. Whether he's dealing with a stalker or a wild boar, anyone who fails to live up to his idea of how a real man should act is in for a beating! Nomoto may be a university student, but he also works as a mercenary, occasionally leaving campus behind for battlefields around the world. Together with his friends, he juggles ordinary college life with gunfire, military mayhem, and real combat. A comedy about one very unconventional military-style campus life, Camouflage Boy is packed with action, absurdity, and an obsessive attention to authentic weapons and military hardware.

Although Camouflage Boy ended its commercial serialization after five volumes, creator Satoru Sao continued the series independently through dōjinshi.
Some of these independently published stories were later officially collected in the two-volume Meisai-kun perfect edition.
