Ryukyu during the late Edo period - Hana, a young girl of marriageable age, is suddenly introduced to her "fiancé" by her grandmother. The man is a plump, much older man named Shinichi. In order to get the two, who don't get along, interested in each other, the adults around them secretly decide to carry out a "Musubi Island" event, in which young men and women are left behind on a deserted island to become closer. However, due to an unfortunate accident, Hana and Shinichi end up stranded on a different island than planned. With no hope of rescue arriving, the mismatched pair begin their life of survival! At first, the two are at odds with each other, but as they overcome hardships, the distance between them gradually closes...!?
