Born as the son of a wealthy family, 'Jang Geon' was destined for ruin. To turn his fate around, he had to live a simple life under the guidance of a virtuous monk.

Given to the frugal monk 'Gyeongmok' at Shaolin Temple, Jang Geon spent his days in rough cotton robes, barely getting by on plain rice...

While enduring hunger and minimizing movement in his daily life, he stumbled upon martial arts and managed to apply his mindset of thrift to it…?

Want to read the pettiest Murim that ragebait you every chapter? Straps in because this is it.

Read this if you want your blood boil every single chapter. Shame on me for getting ragebaited by this series. This is a Murim where: - The Orthodox sects are the Demonic sects. - The grownups with name known far and wide in the Jianghu are the pettiest persons ever known, taking revenge on a child (the MC) because they can't get revenge on the person who they got beef with. - Shaolin with virtuous monks and Buddhist philosophy? Nah, we don't do that here. We Shaolin are a Demonic sect, we are petty af. This child...

The ten supreme bullies of the janghu

Holy moly, half of this manhwa is riddled with things like honor and stuff and that titles en promises hold weight only for the “10 supreme masters” of the world to assault a exceptionally gifted child who was semi mentored by their old arch enemy. Such a weird setting which constantly seems to contradict itself. Would not recommend except for the new skills the mc learns

9/10 characters are infuriating

currently 48 chapters read, probably dropping this here, almost every single character is infuriating and makes you mad for no reason, 43 chapters with nothing but annoying characters its a lot, at some point it has to end but it doesnt, if you are someone that skims through chapters and doesnt read 100%, then give it a go.

Ok. Worth the read if you’ve run out of options.

Interesting story but kinda slow. Ignorant kid who ends up being really talented. Adults who are constantly misunderstanding things and getting in the way. The entire story would progress better if people actually talked.
