I worked with this young up-and-comer named Shizuya. He drank a lot with people at the company as well as others, just a sociable guy. Well liked.

But he was all but useless as an employee, and when he got married I started to really envy him.
In fact, I started to despise Shizuya.

One night, he invited me over for drinks at his place. His new bride was home and while I really didn't want to be around the insufferable newlyweds, I went anyway.

We three drank into the night. They were both lightweights and fell asleep, leaving me stranded for the night. I tried to wake Shizuya but he was beyond gone.
Meanwhile, his wife snuggled up against me, mistaking me for her husband. Or maybe not.
