Return of the Apex Player

The world has become gamified, and people are forced into a game belonging to the gods. On Blue Star, an existence known as the “Void Abyss” appeared. Powerful guilds monopolize the upgrade materials, and top-tier players are revered as “Authority Players.” Players across the globe watch every challenge made against the Void Abyss’s lower floors, hoping to unearth the secret hidden at its very lowest level.

Lin Du, history’s first person to break through the 100th floor of the Void Abyss, was — just as he was about to claim his reward — personally pushed to the brink of death by his own most trusted vice-captain. As he lay on the verge of death, an existence claiming to be a “god” forced him to sign a contract.

A hundred years later, Lin Du awakens in the shallow floors of the Void Abyss. His reconstructed body is detected as being only Level ‘0’ — a weakling. The tactics he once formulated have become textbook material, the teammate who betrayed him is now revered as the world’s savior, and the truth has long since been buried.
