During the Muromachi period, Nanso Awa Province is surrounded by dark clouds due
to the invasion of youkai. Shino, the only daughter of Bansaku Inuzuka, sets out on a journey alone, carrying the mission of salvation entrusted to her by her father and the sword of evil, Murasame. This is the beginning of a long battle between the eight "Dog Warriors'' who have the characters "Jingi hatsukau'' written on their bodies and the Youkai army led by the Youkai King Tamazusa.
