The Summer the Boys Were There ~Melody of Jenny~

This is the third volume of Hojo Tsukasa's one-shot collections. All of the stories in this volume are set during WWII.

• Aozora no Hate - Shounentachi no Senjo -:
  Two brothers are pilots fighting for the Japanese during WWII. The older is an experienced ace; the younger has just finished his training. But it is the younger one who is assigned to a mission that will change his life.

  In 1935 in San Francisco, the San Francisco Stars hosted a series of baseball exhibition games with a Japanese baseball team. Amid the increasingly racially tense atmosphere of that time period, ace pitcher Murakawa meets Johnny, an American scout, and Yuu, a Japanese girl living in the States. Amazed by his skills, Johnny asks Murakawa if he wants to pursue the American dream...
