If you’ve read Academy’s Extra Survival Guide, you’ll know this author’s vibe. It’s a guy stuck in a world with romance novel rules. The comedy is great because it treats flowery tropes like a survival game. It’s smart, funny, and actually feels like it has stakes. The problem is the ending.
