A manga adaptation of a TV drama series based on Yamada Katsuro's "The Devil's Castle" and modeled on Tani Yutaka, the "Malayan Tiger" who cooperated with the Imperial Japanese Army in the Malay Peninsula during the period around the start of the Pacific War. The initial names and sketches for the serialization were done by Osamu Tezuka in the early days of the series. --The name "Harimau" means "tiger" in Malay.
