Ghost Princess Mabel uncovers a cruel reality: according to the novel’s script, her own death is the mandatory sacrifice required to grant her protagonist parents their picture-perfect happy ending.

Refusing to accept a fate where she exists solely to be buried, Mabel flees her home to escape her scheduled demise. In her desperate flight, she happens to cross paths with the story’s tragic second male lead, who unexpectedly takes her under his wing. Enveloped in genuine care and affection for the first time in her life, Mabel finally discovers what true family warmth feels like. But as she grows closer to her guardian, the world around her begins to deviate wildly from the book she knew… and the true secrets behind her fate start to surface.
