Two high school students, Yuuichi Edogawa and Hajime Nakayama, happen to acquire a tool that allows them to travel in time. While traveling through various eras such as the Taisho and Meiji eras, the two repeatedly encounter people who are desperately living in worlds where freedom is not allowed, harsh worlds during wartime, and so on.
