Chiisaku Furikabutte, lit. “Small Windup”, was published in Afternoon between the tankobon publications of volumes 15 and 16 and during the 2011 hiatus, and it is a series of specials about the lives of Oofuri characters.

Seriu meets Yae, an older woman in the photography club, who is something of a celebrity at her university for her free-spirited speech and behavior, especially her magnificent travels from man to man! First published work of Higuchi Asa, author of "Ookiku Furikabutte" / "Big Windup." In 1998, Higuchi won noted seinen manga magazine Afternoon’s Shiki competition with "Yuku Tokoro." It was noted for the unique relationships shared by its characters and was subsequently published in the August issue of the magazine, thus marking her debut as a manga artist.
