Kaechaban (개차반)

After a falling out with his team, the Guild Master of the greatest guild quits the game. As the top player, he had pioneered the creation of a unique plot item that is required to open a new area of the game. After 2 years he returns to find that his items and gold have been stolen by hackers and the unique plot item he made unavailable by leaving, was never replaced, and so he is hated by everyone in the game. Our accessories-loving hero is however very relaxed, and simply goes back to his old ways of trying to create/purchase the most interesting items.

The real world is suddenly ambushed by rifts that threaten to spill out monsters from the VR game Chronicles of Arcana. These rifts can only be closed by Players, people who have awakened as their in-game characters with all the same stats and skills. Unfortunately for protagonist Lee Hoyeol, his awakening is the opposite of cool as his avatar happens to be the one he made during the height of his awkward phase in middle school, giving him all the mannerisms and speech of an absolute cringelord. Just how will he go on to become the hero humanity needs most?

What am I to you? Boyfriend? A boy toy? A hostage? A witness? Why did you save my life and just walk away? Why would you transfer to my school and tell everyone we go way back? On a different note, why do you always have a gun? And why do those foreigners keep chasing after me? Will I survive being next to you?
