This is an ideological continuation to the manga "My Name Is Shingo". It consists of 101 paintings, each with a short description that forms another story. This is Umezu's first new work in 27 years since the completion of "Fourteen", and 36 years since the completion of "Shingo".

In 1956, shortly after his debut, Umezu Kazuo published this mystery novel as a new book from Osaka publisher Mishima Shobo. It was the first in a series of rental books starring the boy detective Misaki Ichiro. Even during the heyday of hard-boiled manga, the story is already overflowing with the supernatural, and the seeds of the author's later works can be seen. Misaki Ichiro appears unexpectedly in a rainy town, where he meets a strange old man known as the town's lord. This book was a collaboration between Umezu Kazuo, who was in his second year of junior high school at the time, and Mizutani Takeko, a girls' manga artist living in Kyoto, and was Umezu's debut work. Umezu drew the first and second halves, while Mizutani drew the middle. Umezu and Mizutani were members of a manga circle called the "Kaiman Club," and Umezu asked them to collaborate. The original work is the Grimm fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel," but the adaptations are reminiscent of Umezu, who would later become a master of horror.
