Saint Seiya: Next Dimension - The Myth of Hades, also known as simply Next Dimension, is an ongoing manga written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada. It is a prequel and continuation to his manga series Saint Seiya; placed during the previous "Holy War" between the deities Hades and Athena and their respective minions, the Specters and the Saints, during the 18th century in the franchise's fictional chronology. It is published by Akita Shoten in the weekly magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion at irregular dates. It is also known by its alternate subtitle Galaxy Myth (銀河神話 Ginga Shinwa?), which is used during publication to refer to the segments of the storyline set in the 20th century, as opposed to the Myth of Hades subtitle, which refers to the segments set in the 18th century.

Ages ago, the goddess Athena was served by fighters known as Saints who channeled the power of the cosmos within them. Now a youth named Seiya has trained to earn the mystical cloth of Pegasus and become a Saint himself. He is joined by other Saints with cloths of their own to fight for Athena. This is the Kanzenban edition of the original Saint Seiya manga. It is a special edition that contains extras such as special diagrams and color pages in some of the chapters. It also has more chapters per volume, so the total volume count is 22 (whereas the original release of the manga was 28 volumes).

This is a spin-off of the Fuuma Kojirou and spend a few years after the events present in the original work of Masami Kurumada. The remaining members of Fuuma clan are Kojiro and his disciples, Komomo, older, and Tora. At this point arises Renya Yagyu Ranko brother was determined to obtain the legendary sword Fuurin Kazan, which was said to belong to Kojiro. However, this was only a prelude to something bigger. A portion of obscure Yagyu family, which forms the Karmasho clan, is determined to resurrect a mysterious and evil, sacrificing many people it takes, is Himeko Hojo or priestess of Fuuma. Many characters known by readers of the original manga return, in an environment full of intrigues and conspiracies. The story and art are made by Yuri Satoshi, which has a trace similar to Masami Kurumada, the original author of the work.

A young girl was praying, a red balloon flies away… In a medieval-style village, a young girl trying to escape a soldier with three dogs. As she is about to be captured, the man's head explodes, and appears a mysterious young man holding a red balloon in hand. Before falling to the ground, the soldier's body is a hideous form and then disappears, and the three dogs were transformed into demons and rushed the young man who removes easily. The girl, Nana, asked his identity: he says his name is Maya, the Evil Crusher girl then tells his savior what happens in his village three months ago, an individual named Emiria came to town and built a church. This man was a miracle which attracted the sympathy and even the veneration of the villagers against him. However, without explanation, he demanded the sacrifice of seven young girls on the memorial of the gods. The sacrificed must be thirteen-years-old and the young girl who had been saved in part. The fathers of future victims went to show their anger at the church, but none came. After hearing this, the young man decided to go to this church to remove Emiria.

Samurai story of two boys travelers, students and the commander Toshisou Soushi Hijikata Okita, Kendo masters when he finds his village devastated and its inhabitants killed by bandits, seeking revenge and are involved in a series of sword duels.

Zaji, a young stranger who is characterized by carrying a scar below his left eye and a cold stare, escapes from the organization "Home" to find someone. Having grown up and been educated, trained and probably changed to "Home" as a soldier first, they send their murderers to make him pay his betrayal.

Sho is seen fighting with a local gang that terrorizes the nearby town, he defeats them rather quickly with his powers. And is joined by his pet Pii-tan a falcon, whom he have been friends with since childhood. Later as the gang resumes their activities and are driving recklessly through town, they are forcefully stopped by a T. rex. Though its appearance differs from a usual T. rex in that it looks like it has an armor. Even though it kills the gang, they are not his mission. Instead he is looking for a traitor who happens to be Shirin, who wields a Fairy armor. Sho finds him eventually face to face with Shirin who is as small as a fairy with her armor on, badly hurt. The T. rex goes by the name Tyranno and find Sho with Shirin and wastes no time and tries to stomp them to death. Pii-tan comes to the rescue and manages to draw Tyranno's attention away from Sho, who flees into a nearby house with Shirin.

Aoi Tendo is a young man whose throws are so strong that they pierce the wall. Aoi's goal is to catch up to Shingo Ouki, who set the all-time Koshien record by hitting twenty-four consecutive home runs off the field. Ouki's home rund sequences were against Yu Tendo, Aoi's brother, who died of cancer shortly after Koshien. Unfortunately, Aoi is a lot like his brother, making throws that are so strong that there is no catcher who can handle them, which equates to Aoi being a one-winged bird (as Ouki calls him). However, Aoi meets a boy named Ai who asked to be his catcher. Ai has never had the chance to do any kind of heavy exercise in his life, although he has read many books on baseball. But Aoi's pitches remind him of a story about a bluebird who brings happiness and is willing to risk his life to truly live and catch Aoi's strong pitches.

Hakuo Gakuin used to be a prestigious high school and was famous for martial arts. However, because its rival school, Seishikan, has been cowardly luring its superior students, Hakuo is declining. In order to recover from the situation, the acting principal of Hakuo, Hojo Himeko, sends Yagyu Ranko to Fuma Village in search of the famous Fuma ninja clan for assistance. The leader of Fuma sent Kojiro to Hakuo. There he faces the notorious Yasha clan, who fights for Seishikan, led by Asuka Musashi. Soon Kojiro's comrades arrive and an all-out ninja war postponed for 500 years begins between the two clans. NOTE: Volume count based on later editions.

A high school student suffers an accident and wakes up in Elysium, the World of the Dead. In search of answers, he meets Hades, the God of the Underworld, who sends him on a mission only he can fulfill.

The Golden Age story takes place between the sagas of Poseidon and Hades. It recounts the struggle between the knights of Athena and the EX warriors of the Golden Tribe of the goddess of Justice, Astreia.

Tasked with a secret mission by the Oracle of the goddess Athena, Shura travels through time and space to present-day Japan. He has come to kill Athena and fulfill his heart's burning desire: becoming the strongest of all the gods.
