A new transfer student has come into town, a girl with a mysterious air and black clothing who is called Inugami Sakuya. What few know is that by moonlight, she hunts and kills those possessed by "Inugami." A man can become possessed by being bitten, leading to a nighttime transformation into a beast driven to eat women. Sakuya gets no thanks for brutally ending the lives of these unfortunate men with her sword, and she is often too late to save the women they threaten. Sakuya also must deal with her own inner demons, which are all too real…

When he was a child, Harada Kishi liked to play at being a knight. He swore to always be loyal to his playmate and chosen princess Shirahime Idzunu. Seven years after he was forced to move away, he has found her again at high school. In the intervening years his enthusiasm for being her knight has not diminished, and has been fueled by otaku information. Unfortunately for him, teenage Idzunu isn't anything like his manga or anime has led him to believe princesses should look and act. To his surprise, she even takes offense at him pointing this out. The world he was in had a game like system; HP, MP, Strength, Vitality, Agility, Intelligence, Dexterity, Titles and Equipment. Following his instinct as a living sword, he traveled to find the one who could be his wielder, until he met with a cat girl that was about to be attacked by a bear type devil beast.

Working at Kaikarou in the red-light district of Edo Yoshiwara, Ikutarou finds himself among many beautiful women. One in particular, Fuyou, seems to have been gifted with not only beauty but intelligence as well. An intelligence that people from many walks of life secretly turn to when they cannot go to the police. After discovering this secret, Ikutarou is made to be Fuyou's "feet," made to go out to observe crime scenes and evidence to report back to Fuyou so that she may solve the case even while being forbidden from leaving Kaikarou. Will this impromptu partnership work out? Will Fuyou be able to solve the case?
