Cynthia, the daughter of a margrave, grew up carefree in the vast countryside, home to the kingdom's best army. She admires novels about young ladies and dreams of one day experiencing a love like that. One day, at her first evening party in the royal capital, she witnesses a duke's son having his engagement broken off for an unjustified crime by a selfish princess! While thrilled by this novel-like scene, Cynthia's mind races as she thinks someone coolly steps in to help at times like this. She blurts out, "Then, please be engaged to me!" What?!
