Mori Kouji was born in Tokyo, November 28, 1966. Because of his strong physique, he entered the Junior Baseball League at the recommendation of his parents when he was a child. From primary school to junior middle school, he buried himself in baseball games. His team even entered the national competition. Unfortunately, He don't have much interest in baseball. He enjoy drawing at home more than playing baseball. In the first grade of middle school, after reading Koyama Yuu's "Ganbare Genki", he decided to become a manga artist, so he took this as his goal in the future.

During his senior high school years, Kentaro Miura was his best friend. He married Akkiu (Japanese: あっきう), a female manga artist.

After Kentaro Miura died, Mori attended the private ceremony held by Kentaro's family.
