At the end of the 19th century, London, the Kingdom of Albion has been split into East and West sides by a giant wall. Five girls attend Queen's Mayfaire, a conventional and prestigious school. Under the guise of regular high school girls, they act as spies under cover. Disguise, reconnaissance, infiltration, car chases... Each girl uses their own set of special skills to dart around the world of shadow.

In addition to the manga, there is also a photo story/light novel that takes place simultaneous to the manga, focusing instead on the terrorist Orpheus "Oz" Zevon.

August 10th in the year 2010 of the Imperial Calendar, The Empire of Britannia declared war upon Japan. Decimating Japan with their overwhelming military power, Japan was stripped of its freedom, rights and even its name. Now known only as Area 11, and its people Elevens. Lelouch Lamperouge, a Britannian high school student who regularly skips class to gamble, finds himself thrust into the crossfire between a band of rebels and the military. Stumbling upon a mysterious girl named C.C., she grants him Geass, the "Power of Kings". Now taking the mantle of the masked terrorist Zero, Lelouch is forced to fight against his longtime friend Suzaku in order to bring about change in Britannia. Note: The storyline of this manga is slightly altered from the anime. Notably, Knightmare Frames are omitted entirely.

An alternate Code Geass story in which Lelouch's fate is unknown after his meeting with C.C., whether he is dead or alive. Nunnally makes a Geass contract and gains the power to read the lines of the future. She also obtains a new body and takes up piloting an unusual Knightmare Frame.
