Ever since they were little, twins Itsuka and Rika could see what others could not. At first, they believed that they were seeing ghosts and spirits, but when they turned 14 they realized everything. They realized that what they saw was the depiction of regret and self-disgust in people who know that they did something wrong. They see these disturbing images whether they wanted to or not, so in many cases their curiosity leads them into trouble. In every case, these two try to bring peace to the person who holds the dark secrets.

Sometimes people make decisions that lead them down a dark path, and before long it seems like there's no way out except to commit a crime. A mysterious woman, called Aika, appears just when someone opens the door to crime, and she helps them to close that dangerous door.

Uchida Kaede is a young woman who has left her remote countryside village and migrated into Tokyo to find a job and make a living. The huge, crowded, urban environment is alien to her and she finds it terrifying. During a search for suitable accommodation Kaede meets and befriends a kind, seemingly normal, local estate agent. Little does she know that this man hides a dark and sinister secret. This fateful encounter sets off a sequence of stalking events, which gives Kaede something to be really terrified about.

Chiasa, a high school girl, begins living with her mother at her new husband's house. The husband brings to marriage Naoki, a young college student with psychopathic tendencies who becomes obsessed with Chiasa. Can Chiasa continue to live under the same roof as Naoki?
