Twenty-six-year-old office worker Rima has just been dumped by her boyfriend. After drinking away her sorrows, she encounters a strange man on the street who claims to be a former Sage and, in her drunken state, ends up bringing him home with her. The man's name is Merlad, and as unbelievable as his story sounds, he really has come from another world. But rather than embarking on some grand adventure, Merlad finds himself fascinated by the completely ordinary conveniences of modern Japan, from canned beer and microwaves to convenience-store food. What begins as one very questionable decision after a breakup gradually turns into an unusual life together. As more visitors connected to Merlad's fantasy world begin appearing, Rima's otherwise mundane days become filled with small surprises, cultural misunderstandings, and the occasional bit of otherworldly magic. A laid-back reverse-isekai comedy about an ordinary office worker, a former Sage from another world, and learning to rediscover the fun hidden in everyday life.
