It's been 6 months since the L5 Campaign, the conflict that pitted humanity vs aliens with the whole earth sphere at stake; even thought at that time humanity joined forces as a whole and fought valiantly for it's survival, now that the true threat is gone the remains from old conflicts that have kept discord among people from even before the aliens arrived have started to resurface and thus the fight is far from over…. The ATX Team, one of teams that probed pivotal in the L5 Campaign have been "living their usual" being at the mercy of the chain of command and taking part in cleaning up the remainders from the DC war—- but little do they know that again some extraordinary events are brewing up; with the arrival of a strange lady named Lamia Loveless, who seeks help from the team and seems to know more about them than what she should, the path has been set, headed towards a chain of events that might bring forth an even greater conflict that the one from 6 months ago…. Can Kyosuke Nanbu and his team break through all of the opposing forces, yet again?

Based on the game under the same name. ..begins with an introduction to the Endless Frontier, explaining a brief history of the world and the crossgates. The game opens up with Haken Browning and Aschen Brödel outside of the Mai Tierra, they enter and explore what remains of the ruins, with debris being cleared away with Haken's Night Fowl, until they come across a large security locked doorway. Haken becomes nostalgic as he remembers that it had been 23 years since he had last been there, after a brief talk with Aschen he orders her to open the door. Unfortunately the password mechanism proves to be too complex for Aschen to hack so she asks Haken to use her "password cracking subprogram". He reluctantly agrees, and it is revealed that it was an overdrive mode that gives her a tremendous power boost, but also creates a personality split from stern and stoic young women to a hyperactive teen. Using her new strength, she literally tears down the door and they proceed onwards…then a adventure begins to unfold…

Even though he is just a "regular human", Kyosuke is to the core a brave man who will not be shunned "so easily" and at the command of his own trademark machine, the so called old fashioned "Alt Eisen" he will lunge towards the center of the conflict and will blow away everything that stands in his way.
