Sugisaku (杉作)

A series of biographical oneshots by various mangaka, published in 2009-2010 by Asahi Shimbun. Each issue focuses on a different notable figure from Japanese history. Kurogo is a rather humorous manga about a black cat named Kuro and how he lives day by day with other cats and humans. However don't be fooled by its cutsy kitten characters, for this manga goes deep into many everyday issues such as loneliness, courage, life and death.
