Takeuchi Naoko

The Materials Collection (美少女戦士セーラームーン設定資料集) is a photo-book with all of Takeuchi Naoko’s preliminary and prototype designs of the characters specifically for animation. It includes illustrations of each character, minus monsters-of-the-day and other one-shot appearances for all five seasons of the series. This collection is especially useful for Sailor Moon cosplayers who are looking to create the most accurate representation of a specific character’s outfit possible. Some of the prototype characters never made it into the final cut for the anime (like Diana the Moon Fairy), so this is also an interesting read for serious fans of the show. (Source: Miss Dream)

Usagi Tsukino is a normal girl until she meets up with Luna, a talking cat, who tells her that she is Sailor Moon. When Mimii was young, she was friends with Hoshiko. Hoshiko had to go to the United States because she was studying abroad. Mimii makes Hoshiko promise that they will always be friends. And this is where the story starts. Meca shows up in Mimii's life 7 years later to become her friend, and to help her. However, Meca isn't exactly all that Mimii thought she would be. Meca keeps getting into trouble, saving people's lives, and summoning various people/robots/objects with her cellphone.

A girl named Love becomes a witch in order to save her brother, Yuu, whom she cares for muchly. She performs the Rite to become a witch, but in order to become a witch, Love must sacrifice to the Goddess her most precious thing…Yuu! Note: there are no Volumes (series was dropped without explanation during its run in Japan)

In the December 1998 issue of manga magazine Young You, Naoko returned from her yearlong break from work with a new series: Princess Takeuchi Naoko's Return-to-Society Punch!! An essay manga with plenty of gags from Naoko Takeuchi as she explains what happened after Sailor Moon's serialization.

Peanut and Kyuuri are aliens who have just arrived on planet earth. Their mission? Find their missing queen! However, this is not easy considering how they have some evil menace pursuing them and the fact that they turn into cockroaches and can’t turn back without kissing a human male! They also have a lot to learn about the new planet they’re on, so it’s a bit difficult when they have to fight evil… Note: There are only four chapters that were ever published in this series, as Naoko dropped this project due to Kodansha losing her original manuscript.

Ooboonuu and Chiiboonuu by Naoko Takeuchi and Yoshihiro Togashi, translated as “Big Boonuu and Little Boonuu”, is a children’s story. It is the only full-color work that Naoko Takeuchi, creator of Sailor Moon, and her husband Yoshihiro Togashi, creator of Hunter x Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho, have ever created. This book was written for the couple’s children, and eventually they decided to publish it for everyone to enjoy.
