Dwelling in the shadow are a group of women with spiritual powers who called themselves The Witches (Weise Frau). Kazano Miya, a Novice Witch was taken in by Ono Rinko when she was abused and abandoned by her parents. There are four levels of Witches, Novice, Advanced, Professional and there's only one who holds the highest position in Weise Frau. The battle is just starting between the Witches and the Church Knights as they struggle to eliminate each other.

Taku, the boy with a black cat. He uses medicine that cannot be obtained through ordinary means. He is a self-proclaimed Kusuri-ya (one who makes medicine).

Yuuji Abe meets a mysterious girl at the subway station. This chance encounter with Kana and Rou, her wolf companion entangles Yuuji in a plot concocted by the Seven Heads, a group of half-demons who want to bring a type of utopia where humans and demons can live together peacefully, albeit through unscrupulous and forceful means. As the group targets Kana and her companions, Yuujo begins to discover the truth not only about Kana, but about his own ancestors, and ultimately comes to terms with his budding feelings for this mysterious girl.
