The biggest issue with this story is that the title is completely misleading. I expected a true necromancer, but the main character just fights like a standard swordsman who happens to have a "devour" skill. The plot follows a very repetitive loop where he enters a new trial floor, faces a boss that should be impossible to beat, and wins anyway because of a sudden burst of genius or a convenient new skill. In fact, I had read it a long time ago, dropped it, and then reread it from the beginning because I had forgotten the plot. And in conclusion… meh. The moral is that sometimes, it’s better to keep things simple. The author wanted a story with everything in it, and we ended up with something readable, but nothing really memorable or worth thinking about afterward. If only he had taken the time to properly explain every power the MC obtained, like the logic or “science” behind them. Every new power basically felt...

Well a 7/10 rating is good but its mostly carried by the initial story and the ending, in between it just feel off. It started off really well but became too repetitive and kinda slop in the middle...then it was rushed in the ending probably due to irl issues. Even so its a nice read, has emotional elements, has good characters (especially the female characters are really well drawn), and story was also concluded well so all in all read it if you have nothing else to read.
