I have heard people say Reverend Insanity isn’t peak fiction, and that fans are just edgy. And that Fang Yuan is like a mass murderer—so how could anyone like him? But here’s the thing: I don’t like RI just because it’s “peak fiction” (though I think it is). I love it because it's the closest fiction to reality. The world-building, the characters, even the minor ones, are all so believable. The author portrays the dark side of life in a way that hits hard. People call it edgy because they can’t handle that honesty....

The main character is a psychopath. Also this got cancelled. Thankfully there is now a remake available. In my opinion the magic system and lore are standout elements that really elevate this work. A must read if you like villainous mcs
