Its hard to get invested in this. Mc comes across as very shallow and manipulative. He doesn't care how or why he has the power he does, he just immediately accepts it. His abilities are ridiculously overpowered and he holds all the leverage in any business negotiation. Yet he over plans and over thinks everything.
