I honestly don't know how I let this fly under my radar for this long. For anyone who reads a lot of manga, finding something that genuinely surprises you is rare, but this series is an absolute masterclass in psychological tension. The character development is incredible, and the way the author portrays guilt is so realistic and raw that you would almost think he committed the crime himself.

The art heavily carries this story: it does an amazing job at adding impact to scenes and makes the manga a much better thriller overall. On the other hand, the story and characters are really lackluster. The main characters are all unlikeable in their own unique ways, and although I understand how this was likely done with some sort of reason behind it, this aspect still makes the story much less engaging as the story progresses.
